Let’s talk about the process.

We help you set up your legal entity accurately and affordably, with accuracy being the most important. And that is what we focus on. Doing it right the 1st time. If your state entity information does not match your FEI number information, it requires letter writing to one or both agencies to get it corrected. It can take weeks or months to correct it. Accuracy is vital during your initial registrations, a period in the wrong place can mess you up.

Every state in the Union requires newly registered LLCs or Corporations to list a Registered Agent on the application when forming these entities. So what is needed to be a Registered Agent in Georgia and most states?

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Physical location: Must have a physical street address in Georgia. A post office box or virtual mailbox is not sufficient.
  • Availability: Must be available at the physical address during normal business hours to accept service of process.
  • Entity type: Can be an individual resident or a business entity authorized to do business in Georgia. A business entity cannot be its own registered agent, but owners, officers, or employees of the company can be appointed.

As you can see, it is really not that big a deal; your grandmother or your daughter can serve as your registered agent. So why the fuss about being a registered agent on all the websites that offer this type service and many for free the 1st year?
